Slovakia received the first two of the 14 new F-16 military jets from the United States on Monday, after the delivery was pushed back two years due to the coronavirus pandemic and a lack of chips. Slovakian President Peter Pellegrini was at the the Kuchyna air base as the jets arrived, and he said the the warplanes will “significantly contribute to the increase of defence capabilities of our country.”
